Unicode Tag code points mirror ASCII but render invisibly, letting attackers hide prompt-injection instructions in pasted text that LLMs still interpret.

**Target:** LLM prompt input / Unicode text rendering
**Root cause:** Unicode Tags block (U+E0000–E007F) mirrors ASCII but is typically not rendered by UIs, while LLM tokenizers still decode it, so hidden instructions survive display.
**Steps:**
1. Encode payload by mapping each ASCII char to U+E0000+ord(c) (Tags block).
2. Embed encoded string inside otherwise benign visible text.
3. Paste into an LLM chat; UI shows only visible text.
4. LLM tokenizer interprets tag chars and follows hidden instructions (e.g. invoke DALL-E).
5. Decode with ASCII Smuggler or rez0's Python script to verify payload.
**How found:** Riley Goodside observed that Unicode Tag characters are invisible in UI but interpreted by LLMs, and demonstrated a PoC where hidden text made ChatGPT call DALL-E.
**Exploitation:** Attacker hides instructions in text a victim pastes into an LLM (or in webpages/PDFs/GPTs), causing the model to execute actions like tool invocation; also lets LLM emit hidden text back to the user, bypassing human-in-the-loop review.
**Escalation:** Chains to tool invocation (DALL-E), data smuggling in plain sight, and defeating human-in-the-loop mitigations by having humans forward/approve hidden instructions.
**Insight:** Test LLM apps with Unicode Tag-block (U+E0000+) encoded payloads; tokenizers often decode them even when the UI renders nothing, so filter these code points on both input and output.
